Mimi, LCSW, Executive Director, Clinician
Mimi is a kama’aina and grew up at Temple Emanu El, but like so many high school graduates, she went off to college (Brandeis University) and finally returned after many years. She is a licensed psychotherapist, social worker, and has specialties in working with domestic violence, substance abuse and trauma across all stages of the life cycle. Kamala, Case Manager - Oahu
Kamala is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in case management and a background in nursing. She is passionate about providing exceptional care and support to those in need. She is from Hawaii and recently returned home after 18 years away. She is thrilled to be back and ready to contribute to her community. Kamala loves the outdoors, fitness, and attending symphony performances.
Jill, Case Manager - Hawaii Island/Hilo
Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jill moved to Oahu in 2000 to continue her graduate studies and a newfound passion for surfing. In 2007, Jill moved to the Big Island to start a family and a sustainable off grid homestead. Much of Jill's adult life has been dedicated to public interest and advocacy work and community building. She is excited to be part of the JCS team.
Annie, Case Manager - Maui
Annie has lived in Maui for eight years. Originally from San Francisco, where she taught preschool at the JCCSF, she moved to Maui to earn her nursing degree from UH Maui. In the aftermath of the Maui fires, she volunteered full time helping connect victims to vital resources. Her real passion is creating a welcoming and safe environment for those in need, and supporting a vibrant Jewish community on Maui.
Annie enjoys cooking, hiking, surfing, designing stained glass pieces, making homemade challah, and practicing yoga.
Bianca, Case Manager - Kauai
It has always been a life goal of Bianca’s to be able to help and connect to those in need in her community. She has worked serving others as a professional and as a mom, so JCS of Hawaii is a perfect fit for her values and skills. Bianca was born and raised on O’ahu and is proud to be part of an organization dedicated to creating a safe and healthy community for the Jewish community here in Kauai.
Sarah, Case Manager - Oahu
Sarah is an undergraduate Social Work major at UH Manoa and excited to do her internship with us. She has been part of the Jewish community here and in California, and is JCS’s first case management intern.

Hannah, Community Liason
Hannah joins the JCS team as the Community Liaison. She is excited to continue building bridges and relationships between JCS, Jewish organizations across the islands, and the Jewish community more broadly. Hannah is also a PhD student at The University of Hawai'i at Manoa studying social psychology. Hannah is also a member of Temple E, Hillel, and Jewy Hui. Harvey, Financial Consultant
Harvey, Technology Consultant
Harvey was born in England and moved to Sydney Australia in his twenties. He has always been fascinated by technology and over the years has used that interest in many business opportunities. Harvey spent many years in the photo industry owning and running photographic labs and survived through the massive change from film to digital. His knowledge of computers and digital applications assisted in the transition and onward business. During that time, he was very active in industry associations and local chambers of commerce.
He came to Hawaii in 2013 to marry and make a new life with his wife Jill a Hawaii resident for over 25 years. Both Harvey and Jill were active members of Oahu Jewish Ohana where Harvey was treasurer for two years and he has also served as a JCS-Hawaii board member from 2018-2021.
Harvey, is now retired, living in San Diego, California and assists JCS with website development and other technology related matters.
